I think most people don’t even know that Amy Winehouse’s version of this track is a cover, but even those of us who did have totally forgotten that record, The Zutons’ Tired Of Hanging Around, was actually pretty awesome. The original “Valeire” is like My Morning Jacket playing Motown. Song after it on the LP sounds like Gram Parsons fucking with Basement Jaxx. Tell me that doesn’t sound sweet.

Download A Mixtape Monday

Download B.O.B’s “Hi! My Name Is B.O.B.” mixtape right here. This thing has the obligatory mixtape-only dream samples both awesome (“The Denial Twist”) and awful (“Sweet Home Alabama”) and B.O.B. is kind of like Wale’s nerdier friend who tried to get him into D&D and pogs and shit but eventually got hip to weed anthems. They both got Interscope deals, though. Jimmy’s still got it (probably not).
